The North Side Learning Center was founded by refugees & immigrants to serve refugees & immigrants by helping them make their way in the U.S.. We use a family model working with learners ranging in age from 4 to 74. In addition to foundational educational support and adult language and literacy classes, we offer and a range of enrichment, experiential learning, and workforce development opportunities. Our center is a trusted Community Hub, and we are working overtime to organize, inform and guide our communities as they navigate the uncertainties of the tumultuous environment we are experiencing. SNAP delays, new regulations, and other concerns have caused increased need for everyone in our community.

Wilo Matan joined the Center as a middle school student newly arrived in Syracuse. The NSLC supported her through middle and high school, Onondaga Community College, and a bachelor's degree from the University of Buffalo. She's a great example of leaders who now need your generous support to serve those in need.
